Body assembly is a one piece assembly with foot box
and
trunk box laminated to main body. Hood, trunk and
doors
hinge off the body assembly through custom tubular
hinges
and cowl hoop. This design makes for strong
streamline
body assembly. It also makes it easy for prepping
and finishing body on or off the chassis.
We use premium fiberglass components when
constructing the body assembly, the process is a combination of chop
and hand laid material. Coremat is also added throughout the body for
extra strength and sound deadening qualities. Balsa wood is used in the
floor and foot box of the cockpit to ensure a super strong base.
The body is sprayed in black gel coat, all panels
are mounted on hinges. All necessary cutouts made and the latches and
handles are installed. A fiberglass hood scoop is provided to be
riveted to hood when finished. Stainless steel louvers are also
installed. (removable).
